The article discusses the three social justice imperatives in teacher education. It notes the unique position of social justice in education in each context and mission of the institution. It points out that teachers need to provide clarity and direction for themselves and the candidates. It also focuses on the emergence of multicultural and diversity rationales for diversity needs, values-based rationales on humanistic values and dispositions, and structural critique rationales. |
