Abstrakt: The experiments showed that the new form of electrical discharge that occurs in a liquid in an intense ultrasonic field above the cavitation threshold and exhibits volume glow throughout the space between electrodes and an ascending current-voltage characteristic can be effectively used for triggering various physical and chemical processes. A sonoplasma discharge is characterized by intense chemical transformations, a change in the chemical composition of liquid hydrocarbons, and the formation of hydrogenous combustion gas, solid products that are agglomerates of nanoparticles with different surface morphology, and nanoparticles of oxides of the elements comprising organometallic compounds.
