Abstrakt: The article describes the development of innovative textile finishing process which allegedly helps the U.S. industry improve its efficiency and competitiveness in the global textile market. The process was developed by Brittany Dyeing and Printing Corp., the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance and Commonwealth Electric Co. It involves the use of a foam generator which mixes specified amounts of chemicals with air. It is accomplished by a blending mechanism which agitates the liquid/air mixture. The tenter design is composed of two endless chains grabbing one edge of the fabric to stretch it to the proper width.
