Abstrakt: The article discusses certain innovations in aqueous and thermosol dyeing of specific cotton-spun Dacron/Orlon blends. It describes the modified one-bath procedure for dyeing blends at temperature of 250 ° Fahrenheit (F) for about 30 minutes. It claims that the new one-bath dye method offers advantages in terms of labor and energy costs, and simplifies waste disposal problems relative to polyester/cotton. It details the performance of the new thermosol process with respect to the solubility of the disperse dyes and dye utilization, color and dye mechanism. It notes the feasibility of Thermosol dyeing of Dacron/Orlon blends with a minority of Orlon component.
