Phallus indusiatus Vent. & Pers. (Basidiomycetes) - a new generic record for Eastern Ghats of India.

Abstrakt: The article discusses new generic record of Phallus indusiatus Vent. & Pers. fungi also known as Basidiomycetes in Eastern Ghats, India. It states that Phallus which has previously unrecorded species in Eastern Ghats has many common names and grows up to 15 centimeters long with 15-20 days life cycle. Moroever, the fungus was found growing at a 420 meter altitude in a bamboo thicket at Koraput District of Orissa in Eastern Ghats wherein the said collection suggests its extended distribution.
