| Abstrakt: |
Chapter 3 of the book "History of Special Education (Advances in Special Education)" is presented. It presents the stories of Lisa and Leslie throughout the chapter in order to illustrate the history of early childhood special education. It provides a historical perspective on the services for young children with disabilities in the U.S. It notes the different supports that were accessible to each child and their families and how these have seemed to launched them both in their life experiences. It reflects on the challenging tasks that still lay ahead. |
