Abstrakt: The article focuses on African presence and artistic representations in Europe through the principality of Bayreuth. African representations have reportedly been used by artists for artistic and Christian purposes, wherein the martyrs came from Northern Africa. The Africans who were recognized by Europeans include North African Saint Augustine, patron saint of Saxony Saint Maurice, and Balthazar, one of the three Wise Men who visited Jesus in Bethlehem, Judea.
