An interview with Ann Hinote, principal euphoniumist for the U.S. Air Force Concert Band, is presented. When asked about her musical training, she mentions that she started playing the piano in third grade and switched to euphonium when she was in high school. Her influences include University of Akron professor Tucker Jolly, University of Michigan professor Abe Torchinsky, and music teacher H. Robert Reynolds. She also offers pieces of advice for students who are interested in joining a military band. |
