The article presents a study on syntactic gender and picture naming processing. It provides data from nine right-handed adults who had undergone brain surgery and functional cortical and subcortical mapping using direct electrical stimulation while they were awake. It suggests that intraoperative electrostimulation mapping represents a unique opportunity to have a better understanding of syntactic gender and picture naming processing. It discuses preoperative and postoperative results and operative findings. |
