This article presents a critique of Pierre Alferi's "Le Chemin Familier du Poisson Combatif," a book of poetry. It states that two things are notable in this work, his use of the dissolve, a poetic device where meaning appears only to vanish through the citation of various technological media, and his use of language as a form of experiment to push the boundaries of logical thinking. It states that Alferi also makes use of strange devices, such as quoting from scientific books on animal behavior, as well as failing to number or title certain poems. |
