Abstrakt:	The article presents an overview of the benefits that offenders with learning disabilities can find from receiving specialized care and treatment instead of imprisonment. Research which has investigated incarcerated individuals with learning disabilities in Great Britain is examined. In the article the author offers opinions on the negative impact that incarceration can have on offenders with learning disabilities and on specialized care and treatment that is available to them.
