Abstrakt: | The article discusses the characterization of risk factors for gastrointestinal (GI) perforations in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Cox proportional hazards models were used to determine risk factors. The rate of GI perforation among patients treated with biologic agents who also received oral glucocorticoids was found higher than the patients treated with biologic agents who were not administered oral glucocorticoids. It concludes that individuals treated with glucocorticoids or had experienced diverticulitis were at higher risk. |
