How the guideline promotes job-hopping.

Abstrakt: The article discusses how the seven percent corporate compensation guideline established by the administration of U.S. President Jimmy Carter led to increased job-hopping among executives. Many executives believe that the guideline affects their career and financial advancement. Remarks from J. Gerald Simmons of Handy Associates Inc. regarding the salary negotiations being done by executives with job recruiters are presented. Details of the methods being used by companies to be able to comply with the guideline are also given.
