Abstrakt: This article discusses the falling prices of coffee in the U.S. in 1981. It attributes the trend to competition and an ineffective international coffee cartel. It expects coffee roasters to continue to cut prices. In addition, the article blames the oversupply of coffee from Brazil for the declining prices.
