This section offers news briefs regarding the Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS). John Densley, a former editor of the "Electrical Insulation Magazine," received a commemorative plaque in December 2010 for his outstanding contribution to the society. A meeting was held by the society's Administrative Committee (AdCom) in Lafayette, Indiana in October, where Bill McDermid agreed to succeed Greg Stone as secretary of the Society. AdCom plans to hold its next meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the EIC 2011 conference. |
