An interview with Dr. Esther Mwaikambo, the former Vice Chancellor of the Hubert Kariuki Memorial University in Tanzania, is presented. When asked about the biggest policy issues facing the country related to health and healthcare, she refers to the number of doctors and medical personnel. She mentions about the barriers and challenges in establishing health and medical schools in the country. She also talks about the issues regarding financing higher education and medical education. |
