Abstrakt: The article offers observations based on a preceding article in this issue by Georg Auernheimer on intercultural education in Germany. The author finds the recommended diversity approaches too limited and favors a pragmatic engagement with a focus on intergroup identity and intercultural learning research, citing the work of such educational philosophers as John Dewey and Richard Rorty.
