Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the efficiency and safety in human intra-osseous periodontal defects of recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor with ß-tricalcium phosphate. Fifty-four patients with periodontal osseous defects was involved in the double-blind, prospective, parallel, active-controlled, randomized, multi-centre clinical trial conducted by the authors, who evaluated the primary and secondary end points of treatment at third and sixth month. They conclude that rhPDGF-BB + ß-TCP is safe and effective for periodontal treatment. |
