Abstrakt: In this paper an attempt has been done to develop this method. We have performed a joint analysis of the data of the daily measurements of the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosols and wind direction. To this end, we used the autumn series of observations made in Samburg in 1998 with the winds of the north-east sector. The joint analysis of the surface wind fields and the data on the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosols allowed us to reveal a number of cases where the exhausts of the contaminants of the Norilsk plant were carried out to the north of Western Siberia, to establish relations between the observed concentrations and the initial exhausts of dominating substances and elements.
