List of ichthyofauna of the Middle Don basin, including 53 species of Cyclostomata and fish belonging to 11 families, is presented. Comparison of modern ichthyofauna of the Middle Don and the downstream river section under conditions of a regulated flow is provided. The disappearance of some aboriginal anadromous fish species because of the Don River flow regulation, as well as the appearance of new invading species as a result of their self-dispersal, are noted.
