Abstrakt: The liquid meniscus that forms on a solid sample in contact with a melt is weighed to determine the angles of wetting of the following three types of cathode coatings by aluminum and low-melting-point cryolite with a high potassium fluoride content: a hot-pressed titanium diboride sample, borated steel, and borated-aluminized steel. Information on the corrosion resistance of these materials in liquid electrolysis bath media is obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
