Abstrakt: The article discusses the modification of polyester enzymatic surface. It experiments with Dacron 54 and Dacron 64 with polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polyester fabrics. Methods include hydrolysis in a UV absorbance assay, water contact angle, and the Launder-Ometer tests. Physical modification of fiber with a buffer and buffer plus the polyesterase, tensile properties, and sizing characteristics of polyester fabric disks are observed. Moreover, it emphasizes that hydrophilicity of both Dacron 54 and 64 are improved by polyesterase treatment.
