A blocking oscillator is constructed with a tri-electrode electron gun to get pulse beam. The period of the pulse beam obtained is from the order of msec, to sec. . The pulse width is from a few to a few ten msec. . The characteristics of the pulse transformer is essential for obtaining the better rise time response as well as the larger pulse width.
