This essay completes , an educational project of the American Society of Zoologists and eleven cosponsoring organizations. It is also the third part of my attempt to produce a “Conceptual Framework for Biology.” The discussion of Evolution continues and is followed by Classification, Ecology, Geographic Distribution, Biology and Human Welfare, and the Nature of Science.
