There are more children participating in organized sports and many are participating at earlier ages with sport specialization. There are concerns which arise regarding the physical and psychosocial development in these children. These children have increased risk for physical, psychological and social harm which include but are not limited to dropout, burnout, overuse injuries, isolation from peers and the need for counseling.
