The article discusses a study which examines the impact of biofertilizers on biomass accumulation and growth of Coleus vettiveroides. It states that the experiment was conducted at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) in Hesaraghatta, Bangalore. Findings of the study reveal that growth parameters such as plant height, number of branches and leaves were found more in plants with farm yard manure (FYM) and biofertilizers. It also indicates that Azotobacter phosphorus solubilizing bacteria and Arbuscular Mycorrhiza fungi further enhanced the fertility status of soil. |
