| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study which analyzes the importance of personal oral hygiene in the prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases. It says that natural self-cleansing mechanisms that are present in the oral cavity help in plaque control, but regular personal oral hygiene helps eliminate supragingival plaques. It also mentions that single oral hygiene gives small positive effect, while mechanical oral hygiene is important in periodontal disease prevention and treatment. |
