The article focuses on the report by Gazit and colleagues published in the "Journal of the American Chemical Society," which demonstrates the formation of a peptide from two phenylalanine amino acids. It says that the reported assemblies of dipeptide present an intriguing bioorganic category of quantum dot nanomaterial. Furthermore, the discovery of Gazit and colleagues supports their former findings that diphenylalanine peptides can form quantum wells that exhibit blue luminescence. |
