Abstrakt: The article reports on the obstinacy of European Union over trade concessions to African countries. It notes Europe's plan of minimizing barriers to trade by reducing its tariffs faster than its partners with protection for foreign investment and assistance for poverty reduction. It also stresses the argument of Gabon's Paul Bunduku-Latha that Europe's replacement of export levies by high value added taxes do not bring in enough revenue to financially support the development budgets.
