| Abstrakt: | An essay is presented on the intelligence agencies in Australia. It discusses the construction of the 585-million dollar headquarters of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) which was approved with less public debate. It notes the implications of the Report by Philip Flood which explored the failure of intelligence agencies to assess the weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq. It mentions the issue on the increased funding of the intelligence agencies in Australia. |
