The importance of meaning in word structure in developing children's reading.

Abstrakt: The article discusses the significance of teaching students how to compound words into constituent parts to develop effective reading skills of children in Great Britain. The author believes that phonetics is not enough to decode and understand longer words. The author suggests that teachers break compound words into prefixes and suffixes and explained them to children.
