Parents and families are becoming increasingly involved in schools. School psychologists should be prepared to respond to this important and developing trend which will impact their work. Indeed, school psychologists are in a unique position to promote and enhance the potential partnership between school and home. This article provides a rationale, summarizes the literature on home-school partnerships, and describes a range of possible opportunities for the school psychologist to develop and enhance such partnerships.
