Abstrakt: The article discusses a study on the economic impact of neuroticism on the mental health care and society. The study is participated by Dutch population of 5,504 people. The study assessed the costs spent in neuroticism including health service uptake, out-of-pocket costs and production losses. Results of the study revealed that 1.393 billion U.S. dollars is spent annually on fighting neuroticism in comparison with other mental conditions proving that the economic impact of the condition is expensive.
