Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the temporary restraining order issued to Thomas Mellon Evans of plumbing fixture manufacturer H. K. Porter Co. to stop his effort of taking over Briggs Manufacturing Co. in Michigan. It states that Evans bought 21% of Briggs' common stock when the company directors turned down his offer to buy Briggs. Moreover, the federal court discovered that Evans' plan to take over Briggs may have violation on antitrust laws. |
