The article reports on the economic condition in U.S as of July 1957 following the increase in the stocks of several companies in the Wall Street stock market. It says that stocks of International Business Machines Corp. were up by 21 points to a record of 358. It mentions that Dow-Jones industrial average increased by 13.60 points to a record high of 516.89. Moreover, it relates on a Dun & Bradstreet survey of 110 corporate presidents, which showed that none of them saw a recession in 1957. |
