Abstrakt: Many buildings now contain some form of body-tinted solar glass to reduce cooling loads, control summer overheating and also to give visual impact to a facade. The potential energy savings of such solar glasses can, however, be reduced if their lower daylight transmission properties lead to an increased usage of daytime artificial lighting. This note describes a method which enables the impact of body-tinted glazing on daylight levels in a room to be assessed. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
