Abstrakt: The article discusses the conviction of 31 South Korean intellectuals, which include professors, painters, poets and composers for espionage. According to the author, these intellectuals were living abroad and were persuaded by the South Korean Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to return home. It reveals that the Seoul District Criminal Court ruled death sentences to Kyu Myung Chung, a Frankfurt University physicist, and French professor Yong Su Cho.
