An essay that explores how the concept of degeneration played a role in the formation of Mexico's war on drugs is presented. It explores the formation of the Department of Sanitation and the implementation of a 1920 law that enforced new rules for the distribution of dangerous drugs that would degenerate the race. It also explores the history of drug enforcement in Mexico. |
