Chapter 30 of the book "The Handbook of Economic Sociology," second edition, edited by Neil J. Smelser and Richard Swedberg is presented. It explores the relationship between the environment and the economy, the economic and political institutions and organizations, and the condition between ecological and economic structures. It highlights the competition among social movement organizations and ideologies on the national inequalities of resource utilization and transnational inequalities. |
