Abstrakt: The article offers information on the Saalbach and Hinterglemm ski valleys in Austria. Located in the village of Serfaus, the Saalbach ski trails consist of runs, 30 different lifts, and a view of mountaintops and summits that stretch towards Switzerland and Italy, while skiing in Hinterglemm is described as harmonious along open slopes lined with cow barns and pine. It also describes Austrian peasant life and superstition highlighted by the yearly appearance of Kasermandls, ghosts, and trolls from December 24 to January 6.
