The article focuses on the dual-course system adopted for the Nations' World Series of Skiing tournament in Lake Tahoe, California. The skiing event introduced the head-to-head dual slalom race, which, officials of the Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS) believe brings new energy to the world championships. Proponents of the dual slalom race infer that the format reportedly offers a good marketing opportunity for ski-equipment manufacturers.
