Abstrakt: We report a modified arthroplasty technique for limited degenerative arthritis of the distal radioulnar joint, in which the proximal hyperemic portion of the joint is resected with preservation of the unaffected distal portion. The charts often patients, one bilateral, were retrospectively reviewed and all 11 wrists were examined after an average of 30 months. All patients reported decreased pain and increased joint function. Grip strength, supination and pronation were comparable to the opposite, unaffected side. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
