Abstrakt: For most ultrasound sections and especially for those who are just beginning intraoperative ultrasound, it will be necessary to perform these studies with scanners brought from the general ultrasound section. The purpose of this article is to familiarize sonographers with the preparation of equipment for intraoperative ultrasound: choosing and sterilizing the most appropriate transducer, and ensuring that the scanner is clean and electrically safe for operating room use.
