Abstrakt: | In this article, Mr. Jones discusses two kinds of learning activities which can greatly broaden the scope of science education. The first of these is the science fair, which he describes as an extensive project involving an entire community. The writer also describes the organization and operation of a summer course for high-school pupils based largely on field trips and camping experiences centered around points of scientific interest in the community. A plan for a county-wide science fair is included at the end of the article. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
