Compares the upper airway pressures in snorers and non-snorers during sleep and wakefulness. Similarity in the differential nasal and pharyngeal pressures in seated snorers and non-snorers, independent of head position; Significant increase in pharyngeal pressures in non-snorers due to assumption of recumbency; Increased sleep differential pharyngeal pressures in snorers when compared to quiet sleep. |
