Abstrakt: The article reveals how painters can sometimes find that their work have become stale and boring. It suggests ways of revitalizing one's work like trying out farfetched ideas using cheap materials and painting simply for one's self. It mentions things that could be done with cheap materials including the production of 20 to 30 Franz Kline-type of paintings which teaches how to use the whole arm and shoulder. Another is to make 30 colorful Matisse-like paintings, or making a painting that is entirely unfamiliar.
