The article offers information on the policies of Australia regarding intellectual property (IP) and electronic commerce. The country allows IP protection of people or corporate bodies of any nationality. The Federal Court of Australia is responsible for handling IP disputes, having original and appellate jurisdiction in IP matters. Various forms of IP, such as copyrights, patents, and trademarks, are recognised by the Australian law. Companies conducting business in the country are also required to register under the Corporations Act 2001. |
