Abstrakt: | The article presents a discussion on the idea of impermanence in the doctrine of Buddhism. Buddha says that all contingent existence are bound to be corrupted, to be changed and to be decomposed, which Buddha calls the law of anitya. Buddha's concept of impermanence includes every existence whether in its cosmological, geological or molecular aspect. It mentions philosophers who also preach that idea including Kahlil Gibran and the Daoists, along with the "Epic of Gilgamesh." |
