Presents a double-blind, multicenter trial that randomized febrile granulocytopenic patients to receive either intravenous clinafloxacin or imipenem as empirical monotherapy. Level of baseline pathogens susceptible to clinafloxacin than to imipenem; Initial favorable clinical response rates for clinafloxacin; Response rates after adding other antimicrobial agents. |
