Abstrakt:	The article discusses the use of real-time measurement-while-drilling (MWD) data and reliable directional control for improving drilling performance in the Fayetteville Shale, Arkansas. To address challenges such as loss of circulation, wellbore instability and significant connection times, engineers performed an analysis of the drilling procedure. Engineers used an electromagnetic (EM) MWD system to transmit real-time data via EM signals through the formation.
